Jimmy Hart (center) tells announcer Lance
Russell (left) that he has a new tag team to
debut. |

Enter the New York Dolls- Rick McGraw and the
Love Machine. |

Sporting tophats and canes, the team is
reminiscent of Memphis legend Jackie Fargo aka the "Fabulous
Fargo". |
|

Hart promises that he'll leave Memphis if his
team doesn't win a tag team championship. |

Unfortunately for the Memphis fans, Hart's
team delivers the goods. The "Fabulous" Fargo must be
spinning in his grave. |

Oh wait, he's alive and none too happy about
Hart's knock-off team. |
|

Fargo cuts a killer promo mocking Hart's team
and their "twenty five dollar outfits". |

Fargo recalls his wild days as a wrestler and
is insulted by the New York Dolls' cheap imitation of his team
"The Fabulous Fargos". |

To show Hart how it's down, Fargo has
assembled his own team of wrestlers. He warns Hart that
unlike the New York Dolls, his team has
heart. |
|

Fargo is stepping out of retirement to serve
as a "consultant" for his team which will be known as "The
Fabulous Ones". A music video airs, debuting Fargo's new
team. |

Longtime area favorite Steve Keirn is one half
of the Fabulous Ones. |

With Stan Lane making the other half.
Unlike the New York Dolls, the Fabulous Ones dress in
style. |
|

Billy Squier's "Everybody Wants You" plays as
the Fabulous Ones pose for the camera. |

The video segment was inspired by promoters
watching MTV. |

The Fabs' costumes would become their
trademark. |
|

While Memphis' CWA had used videos before,
this one launched a new trend in professional
wrestling. |

Catapulting the Fabulous Ones into the
spotlight. |

And spawning many imitators including the Rock
and Roll Express, the Fantastics, and the Midnight
Rockers. |
