NAME: GENE ANDERSON AKA "PRETTY BOY" GENE ANDERSON

REAL NAME: GENE ANDERSON

HOMETOWN: MINNEAPOLIS, MN

FINISHING MOVE:

A member of the fictional Anderson wrestling family (with “brothers” Ole Anderson and Lars Anderson, and cousin  Ric Flair), Gene Anderson was best known as one half of the legendary tag team known as the Minnesota Wrecking Crew.  Before teaming with Ole, Gene won the Georgia version of the National Wrestling Alliance World Tag Team Titles with Lars Anderson.  However Gene’s tag team legacy really began when he teamed up with Ole Anderson and terrorized the National Wrestling Alliance’s tag team ranks throughout the 1970’s.  Gene and Ole would go on to win the Mid-Atlantic NWA World Tag Team Titles on nearly ten separate occasions as well as regional tag team titles in Georgia Championship Wrestling and Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling.  The Minnesota Wrecking Crew was well known for their modus operandi of working on one body part of an opponent until it was rendered useless.

Gene Anderson retired from wrestling in the ring but he continued to participate in wrestling as a heel manager in Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling.  He continued his stranglehold on the NWA World Tag Team Titles by managing the team of Ray Stevens and Jimmy Snuka to tag team gold.
