Television celebrity Andy Kaufman has sent
videotaped challenges to the female fans of Memphis'
Championship Wrestling Association. |

Kaufman, the self-proclaimed "Inter-Gender
Champion of the World" offers a $1,000.00 prize to any woman
who can pin him. |

After defeating a female fan, Kaufman rubbed
her face in the mat, provoking wrestler Jerry "The King"
Lawler. |

An embarassed Kaufman threatens to sue Lawler
and bring the wrath of Hollywood down upon him. |

Lawler appears on Memphis television and tells
Kaufman they can settle this in court or in the ring.
Lawler warns Kaufman that a match with a professional will put
an end to Kaufman's fantasy of becoming a
wrestler. |

Kaufman accepts the match but avoids any
contact with "The King". |

Kaufman eggs Lawler on. |

Kaufman shows the fans who he thinks the
smarter man is. Kaufman has been mocking the fans for
weeks with his videotaped messages. |

Lawler has had enough of Kaufman running
away. He asks Kaufman if he came to Memphis to make an
ass out of himself. |

The vocal Memphis fans tell Kaufman to get in
the ring and wrestle. |

Lawler offers Kaufman the opportunity to place
a headlock on him. Kaufman is naturally
wary. |

Just when Kaufman thinks he's got this
wrestling thing down... |

"The King" delivers a reality
check. |

Lawler signals his fans for what's coming up
next for Kaufman. |

The piledriver! The referee warns Lawler
not to piledrive Kaufman (The piledriver is an illegal move in
the CWA). |

The fans can't get enough of Kaufman getting
beat up and they encourage "The King". |

Lawler gives them what they

Ring announcer Lance Russell announces that
Lawler has been disqualified. |

Jerry Lawler is quite pleased with his
work. |

Kaufman is stretchered out. |

The meat wagon takes Kaufman to a local
hospital where he'll spend the next three days
recovering. |

Kaufman tells reporters that apparently
professional wrestling is a very real sport. |
